MEET: ALBERT MUSAWA PROFESSIONALLY KNOW AS J-SLICK ARTIST, PRODUCER AND SONG WRITER
Born Albert Musawa Junior on the 8th of July, J Slick first got in the game during high school years. Singing and rapping with school mates, writing songs in class which got him in trouble with some teachers and performing at every school function which won him recognition in school. After high school he decided to follow his long time dream. His career began to get moving in 2009 when he worked on a song titled Temperature which featured Slap Dee and another good song which i still don’t know why it didn’t hit til now “Twafika” which also featured Massi and Clifanti but didn’t realise his first album which was recorded at XYZ Entertainment due to its promo being a commercial disappointment but earned Slick decent spins and generated a buzz in the Zed RnB underground. 2011/13 he went back to school to get his diploma in Social Work at NIPA. His follow up effort, his debut album entitled “I Wish” featuring hits like “Computer, Nyelele, Addictive with Zayellow man and the title track it self I Wish” conformed a vocal power house he is and what well informed critics had suspected: The next big thing!. 2014/15 moving from strength to strength with his song writing abilities and vocal skills, In 2015 he made the list of 10 rising stars to look out for in 2016 on Afrofire a music site. J Slick is currently in the studio recording his second album under his very own record label “Paint House MuziX / Abantu Bamahafu MuziX”.
